Why is the Lamborghini Murcielago considered illegal in most US states excepting FL,TX and CA?

A friend of mine today told me that the Lamborghini Murcielago is considered illegal in most US States. Is that true ? And why? What are law-makers affraid of? The Murcielago is a 210 plus MPH car, so was the Lamborghini Countach Quattrovolve Twin Turbo of the 80's. That car was never considered illegal.|||where the [profane] did you hear that?

I'm surprised, because California would usually be the only place where it's NOT legal--they're known for their draconian laws, especially in regards to car laws!!

that CAN'T be true

it would be illegal only in Cali, Vermont, NY and Massachusetts because of emissions

Safety standards are up to the Feds, so it's either legal or illegal in that regard.|||How can lamborghini only have 16 dealerships if theres a lamborghini dealership in just about every state that makes no sense if that is true i know of several of them just in this northeastern part of the united states ohio to be exact

|||I say your friend is BS, since Lambo has 16 dealerships in the US, according to Car and Driver

It's definitely legal in CA, since Kobe Bryant's wife has one. And if it's legal in one, it would be legal in almost anywhere else.|||its not states...its the federal govt...crash test and.pollution tests|||too fast and too cool|||some states have limitations on the HP limits as well as ground clearance.|||because i think most cars arent aloud to be street legal if they have over 1k horse power and and certain amount of torque and in smaller cities they do not like car engines to be more powerful or faster than police vehicles|||they aren't illegal in cali, florida, %26amp;%26amp; texas cause cali, florida, %26amp;%26amp; texas r cool like dat.|||Because it legally has a race engine so only certain states allow the murcielago
